Student service and engagement

Nonprofits face a wide range of challenges in serving the Capital Region. The Institute of Nonprofit Leadership and Community Development, in partnership with students, faculty, and staff from our consortium of colleges, offers an array of opportunities for community partnership.

Below are just some of the partnership opportunities that exist:
  • Volunteer and experiential learning opportunities for undergraduate and graduate-level students through EngageUAlbany
  • Full-semester service-learning projects (SLPs) incorporated into undergraduate and graduate-level classes
  • Rigorous research with faculty and faculty-led research teams
  • Intern coordination and placement

For more information about partnership and engagement opportunities, visit our Office of Public Engagement webpage!
